History
The creation of a separate School of Nursing at the Wisconsin State University-Oshkosh in 1966 came simultaneously with the decision to the supply the program with a new facility of its own. While unprecedented, this decision was necessary due to the specialized needs of the professional program. At this time, the School of Education also needed expanded space and their needs were included in the nursing building project early on. This would complicate planning, as the University was using restricted federal grants in building the facility. These grants focused on promoting nursing education contained detailed regulations and requirements that made understanding their application to the planning for non-nursing portions of the building difficult.
After the renovation of the Clow Social Science Center in 2016, the College of Nursing moved into this facility.
