Records Schedules
Records schedules indicate how long offices must keep records under their control. Schedules are contained in larger sets called Functional Schedules (for UW System-specific schedules) or General Records Schedules that apply to ALL state agencies. This list combines all of those schedules anticipated to be related to University business.

Unit Records Management Plan
We recommend every office create a unit records management plan that covers only the records significant to
that office. The plan lists all records series used in the office, with the schedule citation,
retention period and disposition method recommended for each.
